PALATKA, Fla. — After a nearly two hour discussion, the Palatka City Manager is keeping her job. At least for now.

“I move, we remove the administrative leave, allow Ms. Carty to return back to work, from there we as a commission make the determination of how collectively we would like to move forward," said Commissioner Justin Campbell Sr.

Marcia Carty was put on paid leave after three people that she directly manages complained on her to the city's human resources department. During a special commission meeting, concerns were brought up regarding how she was placed on leave and how commissioners were notified of the allegations against her.

"“I believe Mrs. Carty should have had the opportunity to hear from her employers as our only, hire," said Campbell.
