Clyde star Marley Redfern grabbed his first career hat-trick as the Bully Wee hit Annan for six on Saturday to land their maiden victory in League Two this term.
The midfielder hit a treble while James Hilton, Mouhamed Niang and Kyle Connell also netted in the Galabank rout.
And while he was thrilled with haul and getting his hands on the match ball, Redfern admitted getting that first win of the season at the sixth attempt was far more important, as Clyde climbed to sixth in the table.
He said: “It is brilliant, I am really pleased to get the three goals and the match ball but I think the team needed the win more than anything.
“It was great to get the win in the way we did. It is probably the best performance we’ve had since I’ve been here.
