Former London Mayor Randall Weddle filed a lawsuit against the City of London, Acting Mayor Tracie Handley and members of London City Council Thursday morning.

As promised, Weddle’s complaint — prepared by his attorney, Carmine Iaccarino — serves as an appeal to his September 5 removal from office. That same day, the council appointed Handley. The complaint comes only a day after the family of Doug Harless — a 63-year-old man killed in a London Police officer-involved shooting last year — also filed suit against the city in Laurel Circuit Court.
