A registered sex offender was arrested during an event at a Dunlap park on Saturday.
The Dunlap Police Department said officers arrested Joseph Jeremiah Walley during the Small Town America Festival in Harris Park.
Officers located Walley at the park, and he confirmed he was a registered sex offender. Walley told police he was unaware that he was prohibited from going to public parks.
Dunlap police then arrested Walley, who is being held at the Sequatchie County Justice Center without bond.
His charges are relating to violating the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry.
