ST PAUL, Minn. — It's official... Gov. Tim Walz is running for a third term at the helm of Minnesota.
In a post on X, Walz said we've made "historic progress in the state, but we're not done yet." He vowed to stay in the fight and told Minnesotans he needs them with him. If successful, 2026 would mark Walz's third term in the governor's mansion.
In the video, Walz called Minnesota "the best place on earth with the best people," citing accomplishments that include passing family leave, raising graduation rates, making historic investments in public safety and lowering taxes for the middle class. He also notes it has been a "terrible year," citing the loss of lives to gun violence and a pressing need for a gun control package.
