ST PAUL, Minn. — Tim Walz announced on Tuesday that he has work left to do and will seek a third four-year term as Minnesota's governor.
That announcement sparked enough curiosity - from both sides of the political aisle - to make this question a trending topic: How many terms can a governor serve in Minnesota?
The answer is simple - as many as they can win. Minnesota is one of 13 states that currently do not place limits on the number of terms that a governor and/or lieutenant governor can serve.
