MCU fans are paying tribute to actor Robert Redford, who has died today at the age of 89.
Redford’s career spanned seven decades, beginning with Broadway and television roles in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Following this, he got his big break in the 1967 film Barefoot in the Park and the 1969 western Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
In the ‘70s and ‘80s he established himself as a leading A-lister, with major roles in films such as Three Days of the Condor, All the President’s Men, Brubaker, and Out of Africa.
Redford made his directorial debut in 1980 with Ordinary People. The film followed a wealthy family torn apart by the accidental death of one of their two sons, and the attempted suicide of the other. He would go on to direct eight more feature films in his career over the
