The Detroit Tigers have recalled left-handed reliever Brant Hurter from Triple-A Toledo.
It's his second stint with the Tigers in 2025.
Hurter, 27, joined the Tigers on Tuesday, Sept. 16, for their opener of a three-game series against the Cleveland Guardians at Comerica Park, but the Tigers made the roster move Monday, Sept. 15. To open a roster spot, right-handed reliever Brenan Hanifee was optioned to Triple-A Toledo.
Hanifee, 27, can't return to the Tigers for the remainder of the regular season — unless he's called upon as an injury replacement — but he will be available for the postseason.
