Gridiron action isn't the only thing happening on college campuses — besides classes, of course — as local institutions of higher learning plan productions for the coming weeks around the city.
The Bard on the Lake
UNO gets into the swing of things with an updated version of Shakespeare's "As You Like It" opening Sept. 26 through Oct. 4 at the Robert E. Nims Theatre.
One of the bard's comedies, the show is Shakespeare de rigueur: mistaken identities, colorful characters, nobles behaving badly and saucy dialogue.
The local production promises to have a hip-hop slant that will "be throwing you back in a way you aren't expecting."
The show will run at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays (including a preview Sept. 25) and Oct. 1, plus a matinee at 2 p.m. Sept. 28. The theater is located in the Performing
