Kentucky State Police are joining law enforcement and first responder agencies across the nation to participate in Operation Clear Track (OCT), the single largest rail safety initiative in the United States. This annual event takes place during “ See Tracks? Think Train Week ” and is designed to reduce the number of railroad crossing and trespassing incidents through education and enforcement.

Led by Amtrak and Operation Lifesaver, Inc., OCT brings attention to the alarming reality that every three hours in the United States, a vehicle or person is struck by a train.
