MIAMI (WJW) – A fight on board a Royal Caribbean cruise ship forced the ship to return to a Florida port.

According to WSVN, two people were hospitalized following a fight on board the “Wonder of the Seas.”

WSVN video showed officers awaiting the ship’s arrival in Miami after it was forced to return to port.

Authorities were notified while the vessel was still at sea, according to WSVN.

A spokesperson for Royal Caribbean Group released the following statement:

“Our team provided medical care to adult guests who were involved in an altercation [on board], and the guests are being treated for their injuries. We notified local authorities and are working closely with them. As this is an ongoing investigation, we have no more information to share at this time.”
