SAGINAW, MI — The beloved Peanuts gang is heading to Saginaw as Pit & Balcony Theatre prepares to stage “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” for a limited two-weekend run this month.
The musical revue, based on Charles M. Schulz’s iconic comic strip, will open Sept. 26 and continue through Oct. 5, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
Directed by Chad William Baker, the production features book, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, with additional dialogue by Michael Mayer as well as new music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa.
The show follows Charlie Brown and his friends through a series of vignettes that capture childhood experiences including baseball games, book reports, lunchroom dilemmas and kite-flying disasters, all while exploring themes of friends
