WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - One Williston woman is chasing storms and making history along the way.
What began as a fear of storms has become a mission for Trinity Schroeder, documenting them to help keep communities safe.
“I used to be scared of storms, but as I got older, I realized the beauty of them. That curiosity turned into a passion,” said Schroeder.
That passion has taken her across the region. On Sunday, she intercepted six tornadoes in North Dakota.
“It was definitely surreal. I’ve never witnessed anything like that before, even the big wedge tornado. It’s something I’ll never forget,” explained Schroeder.
She said the mix of adrenaline and purpose is what storm chasing is all about.
