ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - High school students in metro Atlanta have the chance to catch the eye of a Grammy Award-nominated hip-hop duo thanks to a new competition.
Run by Coca-Cola’s Real Things Records, “The Real Thing Remix” invites students to make their own remix using EarSketch, a free program developed at Georgia Tech that lets users mix music through coding. The Atlanta group EarthGang donated original sound samples to the program, which students will use to create something new.
The competition is only open to high school students from Atlanta Public Schools and the DeKalb County School District. Chosen by a panel of judges from Coca-Cola and Georgia Tech, the winner will get an “exclusive experience” for their class at World of Coca-Cola and a surprise from EarthGang
