Mike Tomlin did not have much encouraging news on the injury front as his depleted defense readies for a Week 3 game in New England on Sunday afternoon. Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith and defensive lineman Isaiahh Loudermilk have already been ruled out after suffering ankle sprains in Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks.
And three more defensive starters were deemed “questionable at best” by Tomlin. They include safety DeShon Elliott, cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and defensive lineman Derrick Harmon. There had been some hope that Harmon might be able to play for the first time this season after he sprained his knee in the final preseason game in late August.
