MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Elon Musk-owned supercomputer company xAI is looking to sublease over 550 acres of land owned by the Economic Development Growth Engine (EDGE) Industrial Development Board to a power company that is not Memphis Light Gas and Water, the Memphis and Shelby County Port Commission said Monday.

According to a property resolution, EDGE and the Port Commission approved 552 acres of Pidgeon Industrial Park along the Mississippi River bank for a 21-year lease to CTC Properties, LLC in March. CTC has requested to sublease that property to Seven States Power Corporation, a generation and transmission not-for-profit utility company.
