Horseheads Fire Department to host 17th annual golf tournament

The annual 'I should have taken up Frigg'in Golf Tournament' will be taking place on October eleventh in honor of former Fire Chief Richard Sullivan.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the start time at 10 a.m. There will be a breakfast bar before and a barbecue afterwards at the Horseheads Fire Department, featuring Stone Age BBQ.

Kevin Sullivan, son of Richard Sullivan, is a Horseheads fire fighter, and is a part of the golf committee for the annual tournament.

"It started off as a small little fire department to fire department and basically we really kind of morphed into this," Sullivan said, "In the last couple of years with Dan's help, we have decided that our proceeds are gonna go to Tunnels to Towers, and what a wonderful organization it's been. My dad would be very proud"
