DARLINGTON, S.C. — A former Richland County councilwoman has pleaded guilty and been sentenced for using taxpayer money for her personal use.
Dalhi Myers pleaded guilty Tuesday in a Darlington County courtroom to charges of misconduct in office and three counts of use of official position for financial gain.
The judge in the case then sentenced Myers to 10 years in prison but then suspended that. Instead, she received three years of probation on the misconduct charge and the other counts, which will all be served concurrently. She also was ordered to pay $6,416.59 in restitution, which she did after the hearing.
Myers was indicted back in December of 2020. The indictment alleged Myers used her Richland County purchasing card for personal expenses including travel, eating, and gifts to
