Students from across the county poured off of school buses last Friday morning for the first day of the Santa Cruz County Fair in Sonoita, a weekend-long celebration that included student art to admire, rides to enjoy and animals to pet and/or watch from a safe distance.

The Sonoita Fairgrounds was stuffed with fun activities for all ages, and on Friday kids got in free alongside all their classmates. There was a magic show, a petting zoo, a performance from Mexicayotl’s Danza Mexica troupe and much more. ×
