KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (WILX) - Former Okemos baseball standout Caleb Bonemer was named MVP of the Single-A Carolina League for his performance with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers this past season.

Bonemer hit .281 with 10 home runs and 58 RBI in 96 games for Kannapolis before being called up late in the year to the High-A Winston-Salem Dash.

Bonemer was a second round pick by the Chicago White Sox out of Okemos High School and is ranked as the No. 4 prospect in the White Sox organization after his first full season of pro ball.
