TEMPLE, Texas — Following the death of political activist Charlie Kirk, employees across multiple industries have faced termination or suspension for social media posts about the controversial figure.

Attorney Tiger Hanner, who specializes in representing professional educators across Texas, says he has never seen anything like the current wave of firings in his 34-year career. He reports handling four cases since last Wednesday.

"I've spoken to dozens of other lawyers who do what I do, and all of us are receiving these cases," Hanner said.

State Representative Hillary Hickland emphasized that when people "expose their hearts," it must be addressed to avoid allowing hate.
