Tempe Police arrested a man Tuesday morning who entered the department’s headquarters he claimed contained an explosive.

After evacuating all members of the public and city staff from the building at 120 E. Fifth St., Tempe Police determined that there was no threat from a bomb, and the suspect is in custody.

Officials say “normal operations at both facilities have resumed.” The suspect has yet to be identified.
