Tempe Police arrested a man who they say admitted to spray painting “Penis Man” on multiple buildings in the city.

Tanner Ballengee, 36, was arrested in Phoenix by Tempe’s Property Crimes Unit with assistance from its Tactical Response Unit. He was charged with two counts of criminal damage in incidents that occurred in July and August near Rural Road and Apache Boulevard, according to a press release from Tempe Police.

Officials said multiple times over the past several months there were reports of the graffiti spray-painted on buildings. Video evidence was not able to identify a suspect. Police began investigating, and detectives were able to find Ballengee’s involvement. Officials said he admitted committing the graffiti, according to the release.
