Drivers on Interstate 25 near San Felipe Pueblo were urged to slow down and "use extreme caution" during the Tuesday evening commute due to flooding on the road.
Crews were dispatched to the area at mile marker 252, the New Mexico Department of Transportation wrote in a post on its travel alert website around 5:30 p.m. The flooding affected both the northbound and southbound lanes, the alert states.
A New Mexico State Police spokesperson wrote in an email that state police were dispatched to mile marker 251 to slow down traffic until the water subsided. The road had reopened as of 6:30 p.m., she wrote, and no crashes were reported.
