Former Duval County school bus driver charged with lewd conduct, accused of inappropriate relationship with student

A bus driver with Duval County schools was arrested and accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Former Student Transportation of America bus driver Gregory Striggers faces charges of lewd conduct with a student and unlawful use of a two-way communications device.

According to a heavily redacted arrest report obtained by News4JAX, Striggers, 31, met the student in May and began communicating with them over text messages, phone calls, and social media.

Duval County School Board said it learned about the alleged relationship in August.

The redacted report does not provide details on the extent of the relationship.

A warrant was issued for his arrest, and Striggers turned himself in on Tuesday.
