Albertville city officials invited the community to a town hall meeting Tuesday to discuss the future of the local public library after a fire rendered the building unusable four months ago.
Lightning struck the Albertville Public Library back in May, sparking a fire that has left the city without a library since then. City leaders emphasized the library's historical significance, noting it has been a community pillar since the early 1960s.
"We're very much looking forward to creating, long-term goal, that special space where we can bring everybody back together," said Robin Lathan of the City of Albertville.
