MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers hosted a unique event before Tuesday night's game against the Los Angeles Angels. It welcomed people living sober.

A group called "The Phoenix" partnered with the team to host a big sober tailgate at Helfaer Field for the first time.

Organizers said there were at least 400 people who got together to have a good time without alcohol.

They want to remove any stigma surrounding being sober.

"I hope more and more people know that it's cool to be sober, that you can have fun and hopefully that draws more people in to events like this, to Phoenix events, to recovery, to treatment," said Jason Ciepluch, volunteer.

Organizers say 800-900 people go to Phoenix events every month.

They're working with the Milwaukee Admirals and the Milwaukee
