An elite Catholic girls school on Sydney’s Lower North Shore has been thrown into chaos after hundreds of students were sent home when a “spontaneous rave” erupted on campus.
Loreto Kirribilli principal Nicole Archard confirmed classes were cancelled on Wednesday following the end-of-year celebration, which descended into disorder.
“Collectively, their actions placed students and staff at risk, caused damage to property and disrupted the learning environment,” she said in a letter to parents.
“Such behaviour is taken very seriously, as it undermines the respectful, safe and caring culture we strive to maintain at Loreto Kirribilli.”
