The President of Timor-Leste has flagged climate change and food security as two of his biggest concerns ahead of his nation being officially admitted into ASEAN as the eleventh member state.
Sky News Breakfast spoke exclusively to President Jose Ramos-Horta, whose south-east Asian nation occupies half the island of Timor off Australia's north coast, about his priorities this week for Impact Week 2025, hosted by Global Citizen, a global advocacy organisation seeking to end poverty.
President Ramos-Horta is in attendance at the Singapore conference, along with former Australian prime minister Scott Morrison.
