LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have arrested a Massachusetts man accused of secretly recording women shopping at a Lincoln store Monday evening.
Joseph Archambault, 23, of Millville, has been charged with video voyeurism, which is a felony.
Officers were called to the Target within Lincoln Commons around 5:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a man using his cellphone to record women as they shopped.
Surveillance footage revealed that the man, later identified as Archambault, recorded several women in the store's shopping aisles without their knowledge or consent, according to police.
Court records indicate Archambault was released on $5,000 personal recognizance pending his next court date, which is slated for Dec. 17.
