ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) - A seven-run sixth inning fueled the Altoona Curve's 11-5 victory against the Erie SeaWolves in Game One of the Eastern League Southwest Division series. Altoona trailed 4-1 entering the inning, but ultimately batted around the order.

Curve MVP Nick Cimillo plated the first run of the inning by dropping a single into right field. Two batters later, Esmerlyn Valdez tied the game with a ground ball into right field that got past diving first baseman Jake Holton.

After Mitch Jebb brought in the go-ahead run, No. 1 prospect Konnor Griffin gave Altoona some insurance runs with an infield single that landed in right field due to an errant throw by third baseman John Peck. Griffin cleared the bases to put the Curve up 8-4.
