WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A massive crowd gathered at Wichita State on Tuesday, mourning the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot last week.

KSN's Jasmin Adous was at the vigil. There was no conflict or tension to be seen among the hundreds who came out to pay their respects to Kirk. Security was tight. Officers could be seen on the rooftops, in the air with drones, and on the ground, but the mood was somber and peaceful.

The vigil was hosted by Kirk's nonprofit, Turning Point USA. Several members from the nonprofit spoke during the vigil while members of the audience held candles, posters, and other messages of grief. Senate President Ty Masterson attended the vigil.
