Syracuse, N.Y. — A man has died, and another was injured after a shooting Tuesday night on the South Side of Syracuse, police said.
Around 8:04 p.m., officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 400 block of Bellevue Avenue, according to a news release from Kieran Coffey, a spokesperson for Syracuse Police.
Police found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest in front of the J & B Grocery at 409 Bellevue Ave , according to police and Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.
They also found a 25-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and shoulder, police said.
Both men were taken to Upstate University Hospital. The 27-year-old died from his injuries at the hospital, police said. The 25-year-old is listed in stable condition.
