Growing up as one of four siblings, Marie Nicole Navarro has always had to share everything.

On Saturday, Marie had the opportunity to get her own back-to-school supplies. The fifth grader from Elsa-Edcouch ISD received a $250 shopping spree thanks to Channel 5 News, H-E-B and Communities in Schools.

Among the items Marie picked out for herself were personal hygiene products.

Hairspray, Chapstick, and lotion were all on her list, and so was makeup. She knew exactly which products she wanted.

Marie also picked up tissues, hand sanitizer and ramen for the classroom and after school snacks to share with her siblings.

Marie said she is ready for the new school year to spend time with the friends she missed over the summer.
