A Coatbridge mum and daughter have been left scarred for life after a bully-type dog ripped into her neck and face in a brutal attack on a street.

Tanya Kanstantsinava, 37, was on her way home from the shops when the dog leapt on her and tackled her to the ground on Friday, September 5.

The canine then pounced on Tanya before biting her neck after its owner allegedly instructed it to attack the mother on her own doorstep, reports the Daily Record .

As the beast attacked Tanya, her 14-year-old daughter, who she asked not to be named, came running out from her home and onto the street to help her mum. However, she was bitten on the lip during the process.
