A storm along the coast will provide the region with occasional showers today. Some of the rain was heavy last night, and there were even a few rumbles of thunder. This low has taken on some tropical characteristics, and as such, some of the rain will be convective and heavy at times. The latest model guidance still keeps most of the region under 0.50" of rain today, but localized spots could see up to 1". This is some welcome relief for a region that hasn't had meaningful rain in weeks. Highs will be stuck in the upper 60s to near 70° today thanks to the clouds, the showers, and an easterly breeze.
