HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - The Kroger grocery chain will break ground on its newest location.

The 100,000-square-feet building will be located on Fairview Drive in Owensboro. Officials say the $35 million store will have fresh food, home goods, a sushi bar and more. Officials say the event will take place on September 17 at 11 a.m.

Local and state leaders are expected to attend the ceremony.
