A van driver who killed a cyclist in a fatal Ayrshire crash has been jailed .
Police said Philip Scott, 40, showed “absolutely no regard for the law” in the “reckless” incident on the A760 near Dalry in August 2022.
Cyclist Euan Thomson, 32, was struck by Scott’s Mercedes van at around 6.35am on August 10, 2022.
Scott appeared at the High Court in Edinburgh having previously been found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving at the High Court in Kilmarnock. He was sentenced to six years in prison.
