Spain faces the prospect of restricting smoking and vaping, with British travellers threatening to boycott the popular European destination. Fresh legislation tabled on September 9 seeks to prohibit the use of vapes, e-cigarettes, and traditional cigarettes across outdoor establishments.

The proposed measures would encompass bars and restaurants, bus stops, stadiums and beaches. Spanish health minister Monica Garcia informed journalists: "We'll always put public health ahead of private interests.

"Everyone has a right to breathe clean again air... and live longer and better lives.", reports Birmingham Live . 'It is unfortunate news for bars and restaurants that will now face a ban on customers who will stop going to consume on the terraces," said @katxo on X.
