An Edinburgh school has sent a message to an ex-pupil competing in Channel 4's Great British Bake Off.

As the new series got underway three weeks ago, Jasmine Mitchell is the show's youngest contestant this year.

The 23-year-old is among the crop of 12 new contestants who have taken to the Bake Off tent to showcase her skills.

Now living London, Jasmine is an ex-pupil at Edinburgh's George Heriot's School and previously said on the show she had "fond memories" of living in Scotland.

Showing their support for the talented baker, the school have sent good luck wishes to Jasmine as she makes her way through the competition.

Taking to Instagram, they said: "It's Tuesday and that means one thing... the #GBBO is on tonight! Tune in to Channel 4 at 8pm tonight to see Heriot's Former Pupil."
