Two people have been arrested after authorities found six children, including a 2-month-old, locked inside a Milwaukee storage unit.

The Milwaukee Police Department said in a Tuesday statement that they found the six kids, whose ages range from 2 months old to 9 years old, early Tuesday morning.

The children did not appear to have injuries, a department spokesperson said. It is unclear how long they were locked in the storage unit.

Police added that a 26-year-old female and a 33-year-old male were taken into custody in connection with what they described as an "abuse/neglect incident."
