The Town of Signal Mountain is working to create a new inclusive playground, and the City of Red Bank is getting its first public basketball court.
Those projects are receiving funding from the Hamilton County grant-matching program, which is providing $250,000 to each city.
Signal Mountain will use those funds to upgrade infrastructure at Althaus Park for the new Dahlia Playground . The town will also use the funding for maintenance projects to improve accessibility and safety.
The Dahlia Playground : A Hope Included Project is working to create a space where all children can play.
District 2 Commissioner Chip Baker represents the Signal Mountain area and said this about the grant-matching program:
