BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- A series of legislative public hearings for the state's Highway Priority Construction Program will be held this fall.

According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, these hearings, conducted by the Joint Transportation, Highways and Public Works Committee, are to review highway construction priorities for the fiscal year 2026-27. A copy of the preliminary program will be available on Oct. 1.

Multiple hearings scheduled for October, November • Oct. 14: 10 a.m. at Franklin Parish School Board, Franklin Media Center (7293 Prairie Road, Winnsboro) • Oct. 14: 2 p.m. at Monroe Civic Center, Bayou Room (401 Lea Joyner Expressway, Monroe) • Oct. 15: 8:30 a.m. at Shreveport City Council Chambers (505 Travis St, Shreveport) •
