The Vancouver Rise FC Academy fell to the NY Gotham FC on Tuesday (Sept. 16).

The Gotham FC defeated the Rise FC Academy 4-1 at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby in its second match in the group stage of the Concacaf Women's Champions Cup.

Gotham FC's Josie Hasbo scored the first goal of the match in the ninth minute, followed by Katie Stengel in the 12th.

Rise FC's Anna Bout's goal put Vancouver on the board.

"Anaïs Oularbi streaked behind the defence and fired off a shot that smashed against the near post, but rebounded perfectly for Bout to sweep in for 2-1," noted a Rise FC press release Tuesday (Sept. 16).

At the start of the second half, Gotham FC's Esther González scored. The last goal was scored in the 90 +3 minute by Bruninha.
