MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — Marshall County is gearing up for a busy and exciting fall fishing season, with Lake Guntersville once again serving as the backdrop for several major tournaments.
In 2024, fall fishing tournaments generated more than $951,200 in economic impact for the region, and 2025 is expected to surpass that total with a full lineup of events scheduled to take place.
The season begins with the 2025 SPRO Frog Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Civitan Park. Anglers will check in the day before and must register by Tuesday, Sept. 23.
On Saturday, Oct. 4, Civitan Park will also host the Riverbend Tournament, featuring high school and junior division anglers.
