SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - After more than 40 years serving his community, the police chief in South Sioux City, Nebraska, plans on retiring later this year.
Ed Mahon has been Chief of Police for the South Sioux City Police Department since 2016. Before taking the top job, Mahon was on patrol in that community for more than 30 years.
Confirming to KTIV this morning, Chief Ed Mahon said he plans to retire in October 2025. No official retirement date has been set yet, and the police department has begun its search for its new police chief.
