PROVO — The Missionary Training Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will soon be under construction — again.

Existing buildings that currently house administrative offices and the cafeteria will be demolished, the Salt Lake City-based faith announced Tuesday. That includes the Wilford Woodruff Administration Building, which has served as the gateway to the 39-acre campus since 1978.

In their place, two new buildings will be constructed “that will enhance the missionary experience,” according to a news release .

“The MTC will remain fully operational throughout the multiyear project,” the church said.
