STATEWIDE -- The extended warm weather is slowing Maine’s fall foliage.
The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry released it’s second report of the season today.
It says there is very little color change and very little leaf drop.
DACF fall foliage spokesperson Gale Ross says we’ve been on a bit of a roller- coaster ride regarding the weather.
She says Maine has experienced a long stretch of summer-like conditions going into mid- September but things are expected to cool off this weekend.
She says as the days grow shorter and the nights grow longer and cooler we will see more fall color.
