A 45-year-old Carpentersville man has been arrested on charges of owning and conveying child porn, officials said.

Jason Grabowski, of the 100 block of Hickory Drive, is alleged to have shared an image and multiple videos depicting child sexual abuse between July 2024 and May 2025 “via private chat on an online social media platform,” according to a news release from the Kane County state’s attorney’s and sheriff’s offices and the Carpentersville Police Department.

He faces four counts each of dissemination of child pornography, a class X felony, and possession of child pornography, a class 2 felony. He has been released from custody under the provisos that he not have unsupervised contact with minors under age 18 or use any device that can access the internet.
