NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - North Charleston Police have arrested and charged a man for giving THC-infused gummies to his 16-year-old relative.

Javen Lee, 23, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the North Charleston Police Department.

North Charleston Police responded to a Constitution Avenue home on Monday for a report from the teen’s grandmother.

Officers say the teen was lethargic and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.

Field testing confirmed that the gummies contained cannabis, and authorities say the packaging had clear warnings not to give the product to children.

Lee was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center.
